YSL Beauty Launches Anti-Domestic Violence Charity Program

YSL Beauty has launched an initiative to help end domestic violence. On Thursday, the brand announced the global launch of its Abuse Is Not Love program, which aims to tackle partner violence. The brand has teamed up with three nonprofits, including It’s On Us in America, En Avant Toute (s) in France, and Women’s Aid in Britain.

On the eve of the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (celebrated on November 25), YSL Beauty decided to fund educational initiatives, research on the topic, and train staff and beauty consultants.

Such a program is especially important this year: due to the pandemic, the number of cases of domestic violence (physical, sexual, emotional and financial) has increased.

Supporting women, especially when it comes to their independence, plays a key role in the activities of the brand. Intimate partner violence interferes with the safety, well-being and independence of women. Therefore, it is important for us to work on a problem that is contrary to our core values and beliefs,

– noted the international general manager of YSL Beauty Stefan Bezi.
